Metroparks Toledo has set out to give every Lucas County resident access to a Metropark within 5 miles of where they live. And, we’re proud to be part of this goal.
With nearly 90 percent of Ohio’s coastal wetlands destroyed through development, every acre of coastal land is crucial to preserve wildlife, control erosion, drive tourism, and promote community enjoyment.
The Howard Marsh project includes:
– A meandering 7-mile stream for kayaking and canoeing
– Nearly 6 miles of walking trails
– Raised platforms for fishing
– A boat launch
– Parking area
– Restroom facilities and more
